What to Expect at Your Appointment

  • When you arrive for check in, there will be a few forms to fill out that we will help you with.

  • You may be asked to sign a release of information to get old medical records.

  • We try to keep patients spread out, so if you arrive early, we may have you wait in your car.

  • Some tests may require dilating your eyes, we recommend bringing a driver just in case.

  • If you were referred by your doctor for Glaucoma surgery, then your initial appointment will be for a Glaucoma Evaluation to determine if surgery is the best next step.
    - As part of this evaluation, you will be scheduled for some diagnostic scans and tests.

Our office is pleased to provide you with online access to your health information through our secure Patient Portal.

We use Athena Health to make it easy for you to manage your health information online. Your Athena Health account lets you:

  • See your test results, appointments, and health records

  • Book appointments

  • View (and pay) your bills

  • Send messages to your care team any time, day or night

Our practice uses email, text, and/or calls to notify patients of information available regarding care, test results, appointments, and financial statements.

Billing Statements

   We mail billing statements each month. Your statement will list:

  • Charges submitted to your insurance company

  • Payments we have received from the insurance company, if any

  • Any remaining balance as of the statement date
